The Scarecrow Contest is taking place during Scarecrow Weekend October 11th - 13th. Look at all of the unique handcrafted scarecrows on display downtown St. Charles throughout the weekend.

Starting from Friday afternoon, visitors will have the chance to vote for their favorite scarecrows. The voting process will end on Sunday at 5 p.m. To cast your vote, pick up and return voting sheets to the Information Booths located in the Family Zone in Lincoln Park and in front of the Municipal Building. Alternatively, you can drop the sheets at the voting box situated at the Activity Zone on Riverside Ave. Remember to vote for only one entry in each category. You may also vote using the Travel St. Charles App which you can download HERE. Use the number displayed at the Scarecrow as a reference and ensure you submit only one voting ballot per person.

The four scarecrow categories:

  • Business - Riverside Avenue

  • Individual - Lincoln Park

  • Clubs/Not-for-Profits/Schools - 1st Street & Riverside Avenue

  • Mechanical/Mega - Lincoln Park

The Scarecrows will be on display at the Family Zone in Lincoln Park and at the Activity Zone in Riverside Avenue. Please reference the 2024 Scarecrow Contest Map in the Scarecrow brochure.
