The St. Charles Kiwanis Club will be on the 1st Street Street Plaza helping everyone get into the Scarecrow Weekend spirit with Face Painting and Tattoos to help show off your fall look.

Katie Rose is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Chicago, Illinois, known for her unique blend of country and pop. Her music is heartfelt and relatable, often reflecting personal experiences with life, love, and growing up. She performs regularly at local venues in her hometown and has taken her music to Nashville, where she’s played notable stages such as the famous Commodore Grille. Katie’s passion for storytelling through music has earned her spots in some of the most respected music programs, including the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Advanced Songwriting Camp in 2024, 2025, and 2026, as well as Interlochen Arts Camp in 2023. Her artistry has also been recognized closer to home, where she won second place in her town’s talent competition and was selected to perform at Nashwood, Illinois’ annual Nashville-inspired music weekend. She recently released her debut EP, Dear Baby, marking an exciting new chapter in her career and showcasing her growth as both a songwriter and performer. Most recently, Katie was honored with three Josie Music Award nominations: Vocalist of the Year, EP of the Year for Dear Baby, and Song of the Year for So Typical. Nicole has been singing since she was four years old and took up guitar in college. Music has always been a huge part of her life. On October 12, 2018, Nicole had the amazing opportunity to sing on stage with Keith Urban. It was then that she realized that there is nothing in this world that makes her happier than singing. Ever since that night she has been booking gigs everywhere and anywhere. From a dock concert in Kentucky to a Christmas party in Big Rock, IL there is no venue too large or too small. Music is her passion.
