Available During Scarecrow Weekend Hours
The Scarecrow in a Box, presented by Anderson Humane, comes with everything needed to make a scarecrow - including panty hose, twine, an outfit, straw to stuff the scarecrow and directions. Make sure to stop by and purchase your Scarecrow in a Box on Friday through Sunday.

Touch-A-Truck
Available During Scarecrow Weekend Hours
Sponsored by the City of St. Charles, Touch-A-Truck will give children the opportunity to get an up-close look at trucks.

Festive Photo Opportunity Area

Stop by different photo opportunites to capture a fall-themed family photo that will help capture your memorable time at Scarecrow Weekend. Presented by Gerald Subaru, the Festive Photo Opportunity area will be available October 7th - October 9th.

Anderson Humane's sponsor booth will be located in the Activity Zone and will feature an array of activities throughout the weekend. October 7th: All Day: Goose crafts for kids. 1:30pm: "Angel Wing" discussion about the adverse effects of feeding bread to waterfowl. 2pm: What animals live along the river? Scheduled walk along the river looking for and talking about what lives along the river. 4pm: Wildlife animal charades. Children can play this fun and active game while they learn things about the wildlife around them. October 8th: 10am - 4pm: Adoption event. Stop by our tent and meet several Anderson Humane adoptable dogs. 4:30pm-6pm: Owl craft for kids. 4:30pm: "Creatures of the Night are Cool" discussion where we dispel the myths behind wildlife surrounding Halloween. Dissect an owl pellet and learn about what you'll see on an Anderson Humane Night Hike. October 9th: All Day: Make wild animal scat out of edible treats and eat it! 11am: "Scat, Track, and Habitat" discussion. During this talk, you can touch the pelt of a wild animal, take a close-up look at the tracks they make in the wild, and see life-size examples of their scat! 2pm: What animals live along the river? Scheduled walk along the river looking for and identifying scat, tracks, and habitats.
