The Scarecrow Contest, sponsored by Teqworks, begins Friday afternoon and concludes Sunday at 5pm. Look at all of the unique handcrafted scarecrows on display downtown St. Charles throughout the weekend. The Scarecrows will be on display at the Family Zone in Lincoln Park, Activity Zone in Riverside Avenue, and 1st Street.

The four scarecrow categories:

Business

Lincoln Park

Paper

Learn How to Vote

Pick up a physical voting ballot from an Information Booth by the Municipal Building or in the Family Zone and Activity Zone! As you explore the event searching for your favorite scarecrows, you'll be able to vote for one entry in each category. Once complete, drop off your ballot at an Information Booth or at the ballot box on 1st Street. Don't forget to grab your "I Voted" sticker!

Download the Travel St. Charles App by clicking HERE, or by clicking on the buttons below. Then, create an account.

Step

Click on the 'Challenges' button and select the category you are voting for.

Step

Select the corresponding scarecrow, press 'Scan QR Code', and select 'Submit'!

*IMPORTANT*: Please enable location and camera settings. Both must be on to vote on the app.

You must click the "Scan QR Code" before scanning the QR code. If you do not, it will not register your vote.

Additionally, just like in voting with a paper ballet, you will submit only one vote per category!
